FAQs

  • I see patients at my office in the Summit building, located at 1420 Boston Post Road in Larchmont. I also make home visits and conduct telehealth appointments.

  • You do not. New York permits direct access to Physical Therapy. During our treatment together, if I determine that you need to meet with a doctor, I can help you find one. I am also happy to coordinate with any providers on your care team.

  • I am an out of network provider for private health insurance companies. I will provide you with the proper documentation to submit to your health insurance company and they will reimburse you based on your plan’s out of network benefits.

HOPP Pelvic Health was established to allow me to give you the utmost care and freedom so that TOGETHER we can determine what the best treatment plan is for YOU without restrictions and limitations that come along with insurance.

  • We start by talking so I can find out as much as I can about you, what you are seeking care for, and what goals you want to accomplish from therapy. From there, I will complete a physical exam including hands-on evaluations based on your symptoms (range of motion, strength, functional tests and joint mobility and the like). If we are addressing a pelvic health concern, we may need to evaluate internal pelvic floor muscles using appropriate manual techniques. See next FAQ for more about what this is. *As the patient, you always dictate the care you are comfortable with and can decline any treatment at any time without any explanation.

  • If you are seeking care for pelvic floor symptoms, an internal evaluation is an ideal first step. I will explain why it will benefit you and outline what I plan to assess. I move forward when I have l gained your 100% consent. If you have hesitations, we will adapt. Your consent is also not required at the outset; if you want to pause and think through what I am proposing, we can conduct the internal evaluation at another time. At any point during the evaluation itself, you are encouraged to ask me to pause or stop, and I will do so immediately. Your comfort and safety is my utmost priority.

  • It depends on how you are responding to the first few visits. I will work with you to reach your personal treatment goals and I will not tell you to come back unless WE both feel success. You might only need a few visits in total, or weekly and/or monthly. Treatment will be complete when you feel you have met your individual goals.

  • Comfortable and loose clothes that allow for you to move freely and help me see the area that you are seeking care for.
